In a world under pressure, excess and a state of violence, the idea of a “return” to an origin emerges as a synonym of resistance, reunion and resignification. In this screening, we follow different movements of return to spaces of personal depth: between the reunion with family ancestry in a rural setting (Facing the Wind), the recovery of the memory of a place made to vanish by the hand of nature (It Went With The Sea) and the reconnection with the land, geological landscapes and other forms of life from which we have become estranged (Unstable Rocks). In all these works, what is sought are places where it is still possible to imagine alternative futures.
