After 20 years living in Buenos Aires, Mónica returns to the village in Burgos where she was born, after receiving the news that her father is gravely ill. When she arrives, he has already died, and her mother asks her to stay and help her sell the family home. Winter and the difficulty of communication between mother and daughter make the return particularly hard. Once again enveloped in a rural landscape, Mónica confronts the life she left behind and seeks to mend family ties. Facing the Wind was selected for the Berlinale Forum in 2018.
