Programme:
A garden that collapsed and the sea that swallowed it become the starting point for a reflection on distance and the fragility of life. It was in the grandparents’ garden, facing the sea, that the family would gather and share moments of conviviality. After the landslide, what remained were the photographs and the memories of those gatherings. In Madeira, Matilde César builds a film about the passage of time and what remains when a place disappears.
