Each Monday since 2020, a group of film enthusiasts have been meeting to dine, watch, and discuss surprise films programmed by filmmaker Saguenail. The screenings, coordinated by writer Rui Manuel Amaral, are preceded by a short presentation and followed by a discussion involving the entire participating community. Highlighting the importance of informal film groups in promoting film culture, Batalha hosts one of the this meetings which will begin at our Bar at 7:15 p.m.—with the usual community dinner, to which each participant brings a contribution—and will continue at 8:15 p.m., where a film on the theme of Cinema and Food will be screened (and discussed).
