Considered one of Keaton’s best films, this comedy stars Keaton himself as a clumsy man in love with an MGM Studios worker. In an attempt to get a job at the studio to get closer to his beloved, the protagonist wanders around Manhattan looking for an opportunity to film, getting involved in a series of typical Keaton antics — the swimming pool sequence being one of the most brilliant in the film. The version we're presenting — with Timothy Brock’s soundtrack performed by the orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in 2020 — is a 4K restoration developed by the Cineteca di Bologna, The Criterion Collection and Warner Bros.
