Batalha regularly presents a series of sessions specially designed for children and adults to share moments in the cinema. In these screenings, we challenge families (both formal and emotional) to build a fun and personal relationship with the moving image that will accompany them through the different stages of their lives.

In September, we start with the themed programme Beneath the Surface: Pools on Film to present a series of films that explore the fun of diving, but also the swimming pool as a place to meet our bodies, fears and challenges.

The following month, we're marking the Implantation of the Portuguese Republic with a special screening about the power of freedom. In November, as part of the retrospective dedicated to Japanese filmmaker Nagisa Ōshima, we're showing a film about the particularities of childhood.
