Enter the Void

In Tokyo, the orphans Oscar and Linda eke out a living on the fringes of society: he deals drugs, she works in a strip club. After being killed in a police operation, Oscar refuses to leave the world of the living, bound by his promise to protect his sister. Through fluid camera movements and the alternation between the dead protagonist’s point of view and an omniscient perspective, the film blurs the boundaries between life, death and memory. Premiered at Cannes and featuring sound design by Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), Enter the Void is a hypnotic, sensory and radical experience, considered one of the most daring works by the director of Irreversible and Climax.
