Whilst awaiting reincarnation, a soul recalls her past life as one of four nuns summoned by the Vatican to map the sky and the stars as part of the Carte du Ciel project, becoming one of the first ‘computers’. Blending historical fiction and autobiography, and filmed on 16mm and with a smartphone, the film reflects with humour and insight on life choices, the systems that shape modernity and the possibility of self-determination, whilst this former nun looks forward to her rebirth in the midst of the Portuguese economic boom of the 1990s.
