Porto Femme — International Film Festival returns for a new edition, continuing to establish itself as a platform for raising awareness and reflecting on the work of women and people with queer identities.

The theme of this 9th edition centres on Work, inviting reflection on inequalities, working conditions and different forms of work—both visible and invisible—that permeate social, cultural and artistic life. It also offers a special focus on the pioneers of Portuguese cinema, establishing a dialogue between the past and the present.

The programme includes the usual International, National, Student, XX Element and Thematic competitions, as well as new workshops, talks, performances, exhibitions and parties. For the second time, it will host the Encontro de Bárbaras, an event dedicated to the industry, training and project development, providing a meeting place for filmmakers and representatives of the film industry.
