Festa do Cinema Italiano
Festa do Cinema Italiano returns to Portugal for its 19th edition, reaffirming its status as the leading event dedicated to Italian cinema and culture. In Porto, it runs from 9 to 11 April, and the Batalha Centro de Cinema will host the opening screening, featuring Paolo Sorrentino’s film La Grazia, which will also be shown simultaneously in Lisbon.
From April to June, the festival will tour various cities across the country with a programme that blends contemporary cinema, the rediscovery of classics and encounters with some of the most prominent figures in contemporary Italian cinema.
Between tradition and discovery, memory and experimentation, Festa do Cinema Italiano seeks to renew, year after year, its commitment to a cinema that is vibrant, diverse and deeply connected to its time.
