For film lovers aged 8 to 110, Batalha's new course includes six chapters that cover the history of the seventh art, from the first attempts to represent movement to the present day. Each chapter, with independent enrolment and attendance, includes theoretical and practical sessions, film screenings and even guided tours of very curious places. This course is coordinated by Miguel Ramos.

Chapter VI — Thinking Cinema

When we visit the Batalha Cinema Center and look at its schedule, we rarely remember that behind every film, book launch, or conversation is the act of programming. In other words, a person (alone or as part of a team) planned that moment to share it with the public. In this chapter, Catarina Ramalho will think about cinema with us and help us build this mission of sharing that is programming. We will program a Family Session together, write its program notes, and present the ideas that gave rise to the event to a curious audience.
