Wild at Heart

In homage to the master David Lynch, we close the third season of Oasis with Wild at Heart. Romance, crime and surrealism are the ingredients of this hallucinatory journey through a marginalised America, starring Sailor Ripley (Nicolas Cage) and Lula Fortune (Laura Dern). After Sailor kills a man in self-defence, the couple flee in search of freedom and a new life. However, the relentless pursuit of Lula's possessive mother, Marietta (Diane Ladd), and a group of eccentric characters, leads them down a path of violence, repressed desires and a turbulent passion that defies all limits. Between bizarre figures and peculiar events, this film by David Lynch is a tribute to unconditional love and, at the same time, a critique of the chaos of American society.
