Thérèse

Winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes and six César awards, this film traces the spiritual journey of Thérèse Martin (Catherine Mouchet) — later canonised as Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897) — from the moment she decides to become a nun at just 15 years old, to her early death from tuberculosis. It's a minimalist and delicate portrait of her life in the convent, inspired by the diary the young woman kept, in which she recounted her faith and devotion.
