Spoor

Inspired by Olga Tokarczuk’s book Drive Your Plough Over the Bones of the Dead, Spoor tells the story of Janina Duszejko, an eccentric elderly woman who lives in isolation with her two dogs. When a series of crimes begins to haunt the Klodzko Valley, Duszejko believes she knows who (or what) is responsible, but her warnings are ignored. The local authorities, rigid and misogynistic, dismiss her concerns, forcing her to confront the community’s dark secrets alone. The film won the Silver Bear at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival.
