This screening brings together three works that use sharp humour to expose the way women have been viewed, shaped and exploited by society. From 1970s television parody to post-internet digital performance and a feminist perspective that documents and unmasks systems of surveillance and desire, these artists use irony as a tool for counterattack. Lynn Hershmann Leeson, Amalia Ulman, Nadja Ringart, Carole Roussopoulos, Delphine Seyrig and Ioana Wieder reveal how visibility can be both a weapon of empowerment and a trap.
