The Seduction of Mimi

This scathing satire of 1970s Italy follows Mimi, a Sicilian factory worker whose refusal to vote for the Mafia’s candidate in the elections sets off a series of events that cause him to lose his job, his wife, and his home. Things begin to look up when he meets Fiorella, with whom he starts a new life. But, inevitably, the past comes back to haunt him in a crescendo of comical and absurd situations that expose political corruption and men’s obsession with honor. The version we present is the result of a 4K restoration using negatives from Cinecittà Studios and the Turin Film Archive.
