Maps to the Stars

With a distorted lens fixed on contemporary Hollywood, David Cronenberg throws himself into a satirical drama where the true horror is pure narcissism. The film follows a dysfunctional family, the Weisses, who are driven by a bottomless need for validation and fame. In this map of vanities, there is homicide, incest, evil, and above all a well-orchestrated, entertaining and thought-provoking plot — which saw Julianne Moore win the award for Best Actress at Cannes.
