Morning Undersea

Lauro António's first feature film adapts Vergílio Ferreira's novel of the same name. The story follows António, a young man from a humble background, who is sent to a seminary in Beira Interior, where he is confronted with religious repression, institutional rigidity, and social tensions. In this claustrophobic space, between spiritual rituals and earthly desires, António embarks on a painful quest for freedom.
