Law of Desire

Starring Antonio Banderas (in one of his earliest leading roles), Eusebio Poncela and Carmen Maura, Law of desire blends thriller and comedy to tell the story of a dangerous love triangle between three men and Tina, the transgender sister of one of them. Pablo, a successful filmmaker, suffers from unrequited love for Juan, and ends up becoming involved with the young Antonio.  Convinced this was more than a one-night stand, Antonio develops an obsession for Pablo. Critically acclaimed, this was the first of Almodóvar’s films to be made independently by El Deseo, the production company Pedro founded with his brother, Agustin Almodóvar.
