Inspired by real events, Ladybird, Ladybird is the story of one woman’s struggle to keep her children close to her. Maggie is a single mum. She’s had four children by four different men — all of them with abusive behaviour. On the one night she leaves the children alone at home, they are endangered by a fire and later removed by social services. A distressing drama starring Crissy Rock, who won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival.
