Directed by Oscar-winning Paolo Sorrentino, La Grazia is a luminous film about the beauty of uncertainty, which opened the latest Venice Film Festival. Mariano De Santis is the President of the Italian Republic. A widower and a Catholic, he has a daughter, Dorotea, who is a legal expert like him. As his term draws to a close, amidst uneventful days, two final tasks arise: deciding on two delicate requests for a presidential pardon, which give rise to genuine moral dilemmas that intertwine with his private life.
