Adrienne Herr is an artist, composer, and poet whose practice explores the plasticity of speech through the voice. Regarding the voice as a tool for the production of authenticity, she develops compositions to explore and subvert this vis-à-vis quick juxtapositions and reenactments of her own voice in multiple contexts. At Batalha, she presents, for the first time in Europe, the three-channel video and sound installation 4 possible endings that are so happy they make you cry (2025). The sound and the image are distinct moments — the sound was recorded first and the video is dubbing the sound composition. In the end, there will also be a performative moment of Think, speak and greater material consequences (2026), a work commissioned for the Cinema Center.
