Joanna Hogg's third feature film looks at the life of a couple, both artists, who are about to sell the house they have lived in for two decades. In the process of leaving behind the memories shared between the four walls, their daily routine becomes threatened and an atmosphere of anxiety emerges. Featuring non-professional actors — Viv Albertine, guitarist for the Slits, and artist Liam Gillick — Exhibition uses the dysfunctional marriage of two artists to explore the enduring relationships and symbioses between home and individual.
