During a summer in the Basque Country, an eight-year-old child — Sofía Otero, the youngest actress ever to win the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance in Berlin — experiences the burden of being treated in ways that don't represent her. They call her Aitor, but it's not her name — and even her nickname, Coco, sounds wrong. By expressing her discomfort, she also forces her mother to confront her own family legacy. Basque filmmaker Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren's feature debut is a tender and powerful drama about identity, listening and belonging, where each character — as in a beehive — contributes to revealing the delicate complexity of existing.
