Peter Sellars shines in three distinct roles: Captain Lionel Mandrake, the British pilot who tries to stop the attack; the disoriented US president Merkin Muffley; and the eccentric presidential advisor Dr. Strangelove, a former Nazi. This critique of human madness and nuclear paranoia is bursting with black humour.
