On the outset of the second constellation ("El Dorado"), this screening revisits three moments of anti-colonial resistance, in the three terirtories (Mozambique, Angola, Guinea-Bissau) that most tragically suffered the colonial war. Each in its own way, they contributed substantially to anticipate the portuguese democratization and close out the centuries-long portuguese (and european) expansion that chased after the El Dorado myth in african lands.
