Cover Girl

Set in the vibrant world of fashion and show business, Cover Girl follows Rusty Parker (Rita Hayworth), a dancer who works in a small Brooklyn nightclub run by her boyfriend, Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly). After winning a contest to star on the cover of a prestigious women's magazine, the young woman sees her dream of rising to stardom about to be achieved — but is simultaneously confronted with her loyalties to Danny and her friends. Starring two of the stars of Hollywood's golden age of musicals, Cover Girl was one of the most popular films during the war years.
