Programme:
All That Is Solid Melts Into The Air explores transience and the impossibility of capturing the unrecorded voice and undocumented past. Akomfrah and Mathison, founding members of the Black Audio Film Collective, use the juxtaposition of financial markets and fragmented landscapes to question global capital, environmental disaster and postcolonial memory. The collaboration seeks to reformulate the relationship between image and sound, creating a cohesive dialogue that underscores the changing nature of human experience. The film features a live soundtrack by Dubmorphology, a research, production, and performance project by Mathison and Gary Stewart, who will be on stage for this live presentation.
Free entrance upon ticket pickup on the same day. Limited to two tickets per person.
