Blanche DuBois arrives in New Orleans to live with her sister, Stella, in an attempt to escape a traumatic past and maintain an image of elegance and sophistication. However, Stanley Kowalski, her suspicious and aggressive brother-in-law, begins to expose her vulnerabilities, gradually shattering her illusions. What begins as family bonding turns into an intense psychological confrontation. Focusing on desire, repression, and violence, the film sparked considerable controversy at the time.
