A Fidai Film

Kamal Aljafari recovers images looted from the Palestinian Research Center in Beirut, whose vast archive of photographs and films was seized by the Israeli army during the military intervention in Lebanon in the summer of 1982. By reappropriating this material, held by the Israeli army and Ministry of Defense, the filmmaker challenges decades of attempts to erase a people and their past, in a gesture of resistance against oblivion and historical expropriation.
