What Have I Done to Deserve This?

In the suburbs of Madrid, we come across the building where Gloria lives with her husband, two sons and mother-in-law. Gloria works as a cleaning lady as well as running her own home; her life is devoted to caring for others. Just like her, the various members of her family seek a freedom that they cannot find in their traditional family structure. In a perfectly almodóvarian tragicomic register, the household is presented not as a place of comfort, but as a web of anxieties and threats.
