Monte and his daughter, Willow, live in isolation on a spaceship. Previously, he and a number of other fellow criminals had agreed to go into space to take part in a study of human reproduction led by the obsessive Dr Dibs. Featuring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche, High Life was Denis’s English-language debut, as well as her first excursion into the world of science fiction.
