Man No Run

In an unexpected move for her second feature-length film, Denis switched from fiction to documentary, also stepping away from the quiet force of her debut to embrace the frenetic energy of Cameroonian band Les Têtes Brulées. Man no Run follows the group on their first tour around France, mixing footage of concerts with convivial moments away from the stage. The five men discuss their origins and, underneath the excitement about this new experience, reveal some of the difficulties of touring in a country unfamiliar with their music.
