The Last Play

Fourth episode of the fictional series Cassandra. In retaliation, a student worker is placed at an empty desk facing a wall. On that wall there is a stain that serves as a focus. In this stain she reconfigures, visualizes, a play she had recently seen. It recreates the scenes between a couple who are living their last minutes in an apartment (a stage), which they will leave. The student worker writes her reality in a letter, which intersects with theatrical fiction, and addresses it to the playwright-director, author of the show she witnessed. The author receives the letter and compares it with a newspaper article about the workplace harassment of a student worker. An actress and an actor are the protagonists who unfold into six characters, in a narrative constructed in a mise-en-abîme of spaces, times and characters, which balances between theater and reality.
