For a Life Long Disease of Copper is based on Alice dos Reis' research into the development of contraceptives and the memories of her grandmother, a former pharmaceutical worker. Through a fictional interview between a digital version of the artist and her grandmother, the work intertwines poetry, archive and science fiction. In a scenario where IUD and copper asteroids orbit together, the artist imagines a future in which space extractivism prolongs industrial history.
