In a Spanish village, a group of high-society figures organises an unusual charity event that challenges the community to invite a homeless person to join them for Christmas dinner. Plácido, a humble labourer, is hired to take part in a parade with his vehicle—a seemingly simple task that quickly becomes impossible to fulfil. Amidst red tape, false appearances and superficial solidarity, the evening unfolds into a series of set-backs that lay bare the collective hypocrisy.
