In a hotel room, after an argument, Felicidade slits her husband's throat. Convinced that he is dead, she flees with her daughter, the rebellious and incendiary Betinha, to São Paulo, until she realises they are being followed. From then on, the film turns into a chaotic road movie, marked by manipulation and violence, with touches of surrealist and anarchic comedy. A central figure in feminist cinema, Ana Carolina established herself with this work—considered one of the 100 best Brazilian films by Abraccine—as a critical and unique voice, capable of confronting patriarchal structures, such as family and marriage, with fierce humour and political lucidity.
