Letters to My Friend Yohei Yamakado From His Homeland

My friend Yohei Yamakado, filmmaker and musician, has not returned to Japan for eight years. I went to the land of his childhood with a 16 mm camera to tell him news of his country, the places where he lived, and the people he loved. The film is a travel diary, a collection of letters, an intimate investigation of childhood, and an ode to friendship.
