A woman dreams of Hal Finney, a pioneer of cryptocurrencies in the U.S. Meanwhile, an economic crisis crashes the market. Many people are frozen in cryogenic stasis, waiting for better days. But are they really suspended in time, or simply falling into the void? What mysterious connection do we have with the future? In this work, Spanish filmmaker and artist Gala Hernández López draws inspiration from the lyrics of “Space Oddity” to explore themes that resonate throughout David Bowie’s discography: loneliness, fragility, the desire to escape to a better future, the mystery of time, and the search for meaning in a constantly changing world.
