Pierrot in Turquoise or The Looking Glass Murders

This screening showcases David Bowie’s most theatrical and performative side on screen. In Pierrot in Turquoise, written by his mentor and mime teacher Lindsay Kemp, we see a dreamlike Bowie dancing between masks and silences. In Baal, Bowie takes on Brecht’s decadent poet with raw intensity. And in Empty, a hypnotic short film by visual artist and frequent Bowie collaborator Tony Oursler, the focus turns to the fragmentation of the self.
