Jazzin' for Blue Jean

Created to promote the single “Blue Jean,” this short film by Julien Temple—who would later reunite with David Bowie for Absolute Beginners—follows the misadventures of Vic, a socially awkward young man who tries to impress a girl by claiming to know her favorite performer, Screaming Lord Byron. Conceived by Bowie, who plays both male characters, the film won the Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video (later renamed Best Music Video)—the only Grammy Bowie received during his lifetime.
